Description
This pair was manufactured by Winchester in 1968. This was the only year these Presentation Grade shotguns were produced for the "Winchester Claybird Tournament". These were intended to be given as prizes for top competitors in this Winchester sponsored competition. This specific consecutive numbered set was awarded to ATA Quarter Million Club member, Donald Carlson. Special features include gold plated grip caps bearing a red "W", gold plated crossbolt safety, gold plated magazine cap, jeweled bolt, and each are fitted with deluxe 3X walnut fleur-de-lis checkered carved stocks and forearms. #1) Pump action features a 30" ventilated rib Winchester Proof Steel barrel, chambered for 2-3/4" shells, Full choke, red polymer Bradley front bead & steel mid bead, and ventilated rubber recoil pad. Bore is excellent. #2) Semi-automatic features a 26" ventilated rib Winchester Proof Steel barrel with 2-3/4" chamber, Skeet choke, red polymer Bradley front bead & steel mid bead, and ventilated rubber recoil pad. Condition
#1) Retains 97% finish with a few very light scuffs on the barrel. Stock has a 2" hairline crack on the right side center with the remainder and forearm showing light handling marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. #2) Retains 95% finish with a few light scuffs on the left side of the receiver. Stock and forearm show light handling marks only. Excellent bore and mechanics. This set appears to be in unfired condition.
